PS Plus Malaysia Leak Reveals Classic Games Pricing

With PS Plus Premium set to launch in Malaysia in only a few days, more details like standalone pricing, CRT filters, and online functionality are beginning to emerge.

According to early listings, PS1, PS2, and PSP games will cost around $5-7 without a subscription, while all classic games will support resolution upscaling, a CRT filter for a more retro feel, rewinds, and quick saving. There are also new listings for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Worms World Party, Worms Armageddon, and Ridge Racer 2, with mentions of online play.

"Access the fantastic 'Wormpot' which gives you over 1,000 different game styles," the Worms World Party listing reads. "All modes are available offline, online, or a mixture of both. Over 20 multiplayer missions: players can now team up with a buddy to tackle cooperative missions where working together is the only way to win. Singleplayer and multiplayer, 2-6 local players."

The listings include photos of the games running on PS4 and PS5, letting us see what these classics will look like on more modern hardware, ported with higher resolution. But we still don't know the full list, with more set to appear over the coming days as the service rolls out in full.

If you haven't played them, Ridge Racer 2 is a PSP game all about drift racing in a typical lap-by-lap format, while Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssey is a classic 2D PS1 platformer. Then there's Worms, a tactical competitive game where you have to wipe out the other teams' worms, taking it in turns with your friends and family. There are a few modern Worm games readily available on PS4 and PS5, but the classics are making a comeback with PS Plus Premium.

You won't need to subscribe to get your hands on them if you want to step back in time a few generations, as the new listings in Malaysia have confirmed that Sony is selling them standalone.
