A Redditor created a crazy obstacle course on their island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
New Horizons allows players to essentially terraform their islands to be whatever they want. It’s a tedious and time-consuming process, but given that a lot of us have a lot of free time right now, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
One New Horizons player used their island to recreate Hyrule from Link to the Past. Others instead recreate other games within Animal Crossing, such as this gang playing musical chairs.
Or you could be like Reddit user SkeletonwhisKey who made an elaborate obstacle course on their island.
The course is relatively simple but demands that the player makes use of many of the skills they learned playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The objective is to reach the end of the course, dig up some flowers, and then replant those flowers where they started. There are two lanes, and both players start with their poles equipped. With a single swish of a net, the race is on!
First, the pole is used to vault over some water. Then, players have to ladder up a cliff, hop over a gap, and then hop over a hole before descending down the other side. Then they have to chop down a tree and hop over the stump, followed by several more hops over some small islands. One more pole vault and they’ve reached the end where the flowers are located.
It’s not entirely clear if the players have to then exchange lanes or if that was merely a mistake, but that’s basically what happens before they both speed back to the start using the reverse process.
It was neck and neck at the end, but the guy in the blue hat just manages to get their tulips planted before the girl in the mask. Both celebrate the completion of the race with cheers and claps.
