In honor of Leap Day, which only comes every four years, Rockstar Games celebrated with in-game with special challenges within Red Dead Online. Hint: they involved a lot of jumping.
Many were made aware of these Leap Day-specific challenges from Reddit user HoneyNoots, who posted a screenshot of some of the challenges to the official Red Dead Online Reddit board.
Some of the challenges can be seen below.
As can be seen above, the challenges included were all very leaping-centric. Further, all of them involved the use of horses. Three of them involved jumping from a horse onto something else, including a train, wagon, or horse. The last involved jumping onto a horse from a situated height. Presumably, one could complete this challenge by jumping onto their horse from the top of a building or non-lethal cliff.
In any case, Rockstar’s challenges were funny tributes to Leap Day. None of them were all too hard to perform either, as jumping from a horse to a wagon, train, or horse isn’t complicated. The last challenge could have been a bit trickier if only for the plain fact that it’s not easy to judge an exact height of three meters in the world of Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is among the best story-driven games in recent generations. For all the hilarious challenges Rockstar may be willing to throw our way, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that should be experienced to its fullest degree, as it has a living, breathing world that is incomparable in the gaming world.
For all the success that Rockstar saw with it, it’s strange that the company was against the Hot Coffee mod recently uploaded. It would seem that fan mods like this wouldn’t be that much of an issue. Rather, it would make more sense for them to focus on Red Dead Online, which the company has been largely.
With Red Dead Redemption 2’s sales nearly doubling that of the first game, the game has seen enormous success among returning fans and newcomers. Red Dead Online will likely keep the game alive and kicking for a while, too, as has been the case with GTA Online.
