You'd be hard-pressed to find a wordier creature in Magic: The Gathering than Questing Beast, a 4/4 for four mana with four paragraphs of rules text. It's one of those beasties that have too many actual rules to have any flavor text, leaving Igor Kieryluk's fantastic painting to do much of the heavy lifting flavor-wise.
It also came out in 2019’s Throne of Eldrain expansion, which makes it just old enough for Magic players to have completely forgotten just what the heck Questing Beast does. Case in point, Kyle Hill of the Tolarian Community College thought that it had planeswalker deathtouch. It doesn’t, and this mistake cost Hill his Pro Tour Hall of Fame ring because he didn’t actually have the five dollars to back up his bet.
The easiest way to figure out what Questing Beast does is to just look it up on any of the multiple Magic databases on the internet, but where's the fun in that? Squirrel-Bat has instead developed a 17-question quiz that can help you remember the many rules of Questing Beast. These 17 questions will ask whether or not Questing Beast has deathtouch, planeswalker deathtouch, or whether its damage can trample over planewalkers.
Once you answer all 17 questions, the site will provide you with a percentage-based score. Then you can retry the quiz as much as you want until you can finally remember the entire rules box of Questing Beast.
