The FARA 83 is a recent addition to Warzone, first appearing in Cold War Season 2. The latest Assault Rifle unlocks at tier 15 and, like all other weapons added to Cold War, is available as part of the free Battle Pass. If you have recently unlocked the FARA 83 and spent some time leveling it up, you’ll want to know the best setup for the new gun.
If you want to make the best FARA 83 loadout, here are all the attachments you need to use.
The Best FARA 83 Attachments
- Ammunition: Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag
- Barrel: 15.5″ Contour
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag
The 60-round fast magazine is essential for the FARA 83, as it is for all guns. This attachment doubles the ammo capacity, so you won’t have to reload as often when fighting multiple enemies. This is important against squads, as you could be faced with 2 or more opponents at once.
It’s also good to use in solo matches as there are usually lots of enemies in a small area towards the end of the game. Fortunately, when you do have to reload it will be much quicker, again helping you control those squads.
However, the Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag does have one significant drawback. The ADS speed is reduced, so you will need to make sure you are aiming before you turn corners or peek enemies. Otherwise, you won’t be prepared for any enemies waiting.
15.5″ Contour Barrel
The Contour Barrel significantly increases bullet velocity, which is a very important stat on Warzone weapons. This is the speed of your bullet, so it helps you measure the time between firing your gun and the bullet hitting the target.
Verdansk is full of open areas, so range is also important. Although the FARA 83 has significant recoil, it can still be useful to single fire occasionally at enemies in the distance. The 15.5″ barrel also helps in these scenarios, as it increases the FARA’s effective damage range.
However, this barrel does slow you down slightly when sprinting and when strafing whilst aiming down the sights. The decrease in sprinting speed is most significant, as it makes you an easier target for enemies that are effective at long range.
Agency Suppressor
After a rough history and countless changes, the Agency Suppressor has finally been revived. Despite a troublesome journey since it was first introduced to Warzone, the muzzle is now a fan-favorite attachment.
It offers an impressive list of advantages, including sound suppression and increases to vertical recoil control, bullet velocity, and effective damage range. These pros make it the best muzzle to use for most weapons, and the FARA 83 is no different.
There are negatives to this muzzle, the most important being the decrease in aiming stability. This will make you less accurate, although this shouldn’t affect you significantly at short ranges. When faced with long-range firefights, this could make the FARA less viable. In this situation, it is best to have a sniper as your secondary weapon.
Axial Arms 3x
There are lots of scopes to use for the FARA 83, but the Axial Arms 3x is the best to use. It makes you more effective in mid-range battles, which is ideal for the FARA.
Although there are scopes that can zoom further, these wouldn’t be useful for the FARA. You have to consider the optimal range for your weapon, and the FARA’s recoil makes it less useful at long ranges. Although the damage range and bullet velocity are increased by other attachments, still only engage at such distances as a last resort.
Field Agent Grip
The best underbarrel attachment to use for the FARA 83 is the Field Agent Grip. It is the only grip that increases both horizontal and vertical recoil control, making the FARA much more viable.
This is also the only attachment on this list that controls the drastic horizontal recoil on the FARA and makes it more manageable.
There are negatives, including slower movement speed when shooting and aiming down sights. However, these are much less important in making the FARA usable, so opt for this underbarrel grip on every loadout using this gun.
This loadout lowers the recoil on the base FFAR 83. This makes it more viable at slightly longer ranges, but it is always going to perform best at short-medium range.
The horizontal recoil makes it much harder to hit targets far away, but it can still work if you tap the trigger rather than using it fully automatic. Thanks to the bullet velocity increase offered by these attachments, it can still be viable in this scenario.
