Microsoft has locked down the list of titles that will be launching alongside Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but most aren’t new games.
Although it’s seemed fairly clear for a while now Microsoft has formally announced the launch line-up of games for the Xbox Series X/S, although few of them are brand new.
30 ‘fully optimized’ games will be released on November 10 but most of them are existing Xbox One games. Of the few that aren’t multiformat games Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Yakuza: Like A Dragon are the most high profile, along with former PC excusive Gears Tactics and a number of indie titles.
Thanks to the delay of Halo Infinite there are no new first party Microsoft games in the line-up and no games that are exclusive to the Xbox Series X/S, with the first next gen-only game believed to be The Medium in December.
20 of the 30 games will feature Smart Delivery, which means that if you buy the Xbox One version you’ll automatically get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X/S edition.
A lot of the games are on Game Pass too, which means you can play all of them from day one without needing to purchase them outright.
