Xbox Series X stock is hard to come by in the UK right now, although there are alternatives.

While the Xbox Series X remains unavailable, you can still grab an Xbox Series S.

Microsoft’s secondary console rarely falls out of stock and can be found at Very, Amazon and Currys.

It can also be found on the Microsoft Store, which remains one of the best places to check for Xbox Series X stock in the UK.

The Xbox Series S shares the same games as the Series X but comes with some notable drawbacks.

A statement from Microsoft addresses these, telling gamers before they buy one: “Both consoles deliver next-generation capabilities powered by the Xbox Velocity Architecture, such as faster loading, the ability to seamlessly switch between multiple games with Quick Resume, richer and more dynamic worlds, and frame rates up to 120fps.

“The primary difference between the two consoles is that the Xbox Series X displays games at native 4K, comes equipped with a UHD Blu-ray Disc player, and 1 TB of customised SSD storage.

“Xbox Series S is designed for disc-free gaming at 1440p (with the ability to upmarket to 4K), with a customised 512GB SSD. And, of course, they’re priced differently.

“Both consoles have the option to expand available customised storage via the Seagate Storage Expansion Card.”

There has been no word on when the next restock will take place or how many consoles will be made available.

Big stock updates usually included thousands of consoles to buy but there is never enough to keep up with demand.

Xbox reveal the upcoming Series X console

Over in the United States, there could be a few more chances to buy a next-gen console before the end of September.

Recent reports suggest that Best Buy and the Microsoft Store will be offering more Series X stock this week.

And from what has been shared so far, it will be worth checking out both digital storefronts between September 22 and 24.

Meanwhile, it looks like the PS5 will be back in stock to buy from GAME UK this week.

There has been no word yet whether there will be Xbox Series X arriving around the same time or if gamers will have to wait until October.

If everything arrives as predicted, between September 21 and September 23 will be your best chance at buying a PS5 this week.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “The release date for the bundle listings on GAME’s site has been updated to 30/09/21, indicating an online restock between 21st-23rd September.”

There is even a link available to view the upcoming PS5 bundles, which includes multiple choices.

The option to buy just the console is available, but that bundle is expected to sell out the fastest.
