Since release, fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have bemoaned the omission of certain promotional items available in New Leaf, but a new partnership between retailer Target and Nintendo aims to change that. Sanrio’s Hello Kitty is coming to your island resort, provided you buy the associated amiibo cards, of course.

The cards release on March 26, and are exclusive to Target. No price point has been shared yet, but in the images we can spot a wide variety of new furniture items that aren’t currently in the game, like character-themed beds and tables. Previously, you could only get some Sanrio posters via Harv’s island.
Perhaps more enticingly, the cards also include entirely new villagers (to New Horizons, at least) — Rilla, Marty, Etoile, Chai, Chelsea, and Toby, respectively. There is no other way to get these folks, which might explain why complete sets of these cards for prior games sell for exorbitant prices on eBay. In other words, expect these cards to sell out quickly, especially given the popularity of New Horizons.
Animal Crossing is also slated to receive a dancing Peacock update in January, and a Super Mario-themed patch in March.
