Hood: Outlaws and Legends will let you team up to take down a corrupt state

Sony showed off Hood: Outlaws and Legends, a new game from Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive, during its State of Play livestream.

The game is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2021, and appears to be a sort of co-op Assassin’s Creed-style adventure focusing on warriors who seem to be striking back at the injustices thrust upon them by the rulers of their land.

“We are the forest shadows,” one character says, “Ghosts, running silently between the straight, cold lines of a corrupt state. They count, ration, manipulate. They’ve taken everything from those they claim to protect. Authority and steel will not stop us; we aren’t an invading army, we are wraiths.”

It seems like the game will offer players the chance to team up with others and work together to try to topple the current government, through any means necessary, in a sort of fantastical take on the idea of Robin Hood.

We’ll hopefully get more details soon, but there’s enough going on in the trailer — which you can watch at the top of this post — to get us excited about what’s to come.
