The first-ever map in Apex Legends could be making a return in the near future. Kings Canyon is a truly polarizing piece of content in the Respawn Entertainment-developed battle royale. Fans have wanted it to return and also be removed from the game simultaneously. However, the voices against KC won out, as Respawn officially removed the map in Season 6. However, the iconic and infamous map could make a return in Season 7. According to a new leak, a new Team Deathmatch mode is in development and will take place in Kings Canyon.
Team Deathmatch on the way to Apex Legends?
Fans of Apex Legends have been asking Respawn Entertainment for more LTMs for quite some time. The developers are usually spot-on with the LTMs they do implement but there just aren’t enough to keep fans’ appetite full.
Along with the request for more Limited Time Modes, the community has asked for a more casual playlist since the game’s inception. The Team Deathmatch mode was among the first brought up since it’s just about the most laid back multiplayer mode in existence.
Well, after nearly two years, it appears the community might have their wish come true. According to @shrugtal, a known Apex Legends dataminer, a Team Deathmatch mode is in the works.
The dataminer states this new mode would take place in different “arenas” on Kings Canyon. The arenas would feature a Ring system like in the normal BR, a Medical Supply Bin, and an Airdrop. At the start of every match, players would select one of four loadouts to use. Shrugtal goes on to list some of the different arenas players can expect to see.
While nothing is official, shrugtal is rarely incorrect when it comes to leaks of this nature. Unfortunately, there’s no set release date for the Team Deathmatch mode. However, it’s apparently being tested internally within Respawn, which means it could be nearing completion.
