Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 release date confirmed

In what could be for the final time, Activision has released the trailer for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone season. The sixth, and reportedly last, installment for Modern Warfare, Activision looks to be going all out. There are already two new Operators confirmed for the season as well as a couple of new weapons. Thanks to the trailer and some leaks though, we already know what the weapons could be. Let’s check out all of the new content and the release date for Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6.

Within the trailer, a few different pieces of content can be confirmed. For starters, the two new Operators for the season are Farah and Nikolai. Farah’s arrival has been a long time coming, as she’s a main character in the Campaign of Modern Warfare.

In addition to the Operators, we were able to see the new subway system coming to Warzone. The trailer showcased the routes that the subway will take underneath the map of Verdansk.

It’s unclear exactly how the subways will operate, but we know they’re likely going to be a new transportation method.

In terms of gameplay content coming to both games, Activision showcased a couple of new weapons in the Season 6 trailer. For starters, we got a glimpse at the R700 sniper rifle as well as the AS VAL assault rifle.

One weapon we didn’t see was the AA-12 shotgun, which has previously been datamined for Season 6. At the time of writing, we’re not sure if the shotgun could be a secret weapon in Season 6 or if it was scrapped altogether.

The Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 release date is set to arrive on September 29. This could be the final installment for Modern Warfare, so enjoy it while you can!
