      Welcoming a new coach

Golden Guardians shared the warm welcome, reintroducing Olleh back to the team. Olleh formerly played the support role for Golden Guardians from November 2018 to January 2020. He was also a part of the Academy team from July 2019 to January 2020. After leaving, he joined Dignitas until May of this year. Throughout his time as a professional player, he’s participated in several regions, including OPL and Brazil. Having been an experienced player, being a positional coach may be a great fit for him.

We’re thrilled to welcome back @Olleh!

Although Olleh plans to continue playing Solo Queue, he will be taking a spot behind the scenes. His focus will be coaching both Golden Guardian supports Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun and Johnathan “Chime” Pomponio. Huhi has been a part of the pro scene since 2014 and Chime since 2019. Last week, Golden Guardians also introduced Chime as their newest Academy member.

As the team posted the news on Twitter, fans congratulated him regarding his new position. Olleh has previously stated that he was looking for any kind of opportunity, so without hesitation he showed excitement for the upcoming split. In his recent Reddit thread, he shares his love for the support role and how he’s happy to give advice to other aspiring support players. In his answers, he also hinted some interest in coaching. Many fans know him as a patient and understanding person, which may be helpful for Huhi and Chime.

I talked with @CaptainFlowers yesterday, he taught me so many things.
      It’s really helpful for me.
I really appreciate the time with him and I don’t know how to give him back.
I love you and your energy. my dinosaur

No need to give back; I’d rather you pay it forward and continue to help other people like I’ve already seen you do bro. Be the kind of person you wish there were more of in the world. I’m always happy to help my friends.
