Team Liquid, Garena Unite to Bring First Free Fire Community Tournament to U.S. – The Esports Observer

Team Liquid, the North American esports organization, along with Garena, the online game developer and publisher, have partnered up to bring the United States the first community Free Fire tournament titled, The Liquid Free Fire Series. 

This event will be the first time that players and followers of Free Fire in the U.S. will have the opportunity to compete in an official event.

There will be an open qualifier for 24 teams with the aim of introducing U.S. esports fans to Free Fire. All interested players can sign up here.

For those that don’t know, Free Fire is a battle royale game where players parachute onto an island and then must scavenge for weapons. The game was created specifically for mobile gamers and became the most downloaded mobile game in 2019. The title has grossed more than $1B worldwide.

All regular season and Finals matches will be live streamed at Twitch.
