Tobiwan leaves esports: "Never again in the history of DOTA"

Just a few days ago we saw that Paul ‘Redeye’ Chaloner announced that he would be leaving the esports scene and now Toby ‘Tobiwan’ Dawson has followed this path too after confronting all the allegations made against him in recent times.

Famed Dota 2 caster Toby ‘Tobiwan’ Dawson came under the
spotlight a short time ago, dealing with massive allegations of misconduct
which included the likes of sexual harassment. As this escalated, Tobi posted a
series of apologies and Twitlonger posts too, trying to curb the massive case
being made against him. On June 25th, the Tweet below was the last
he had to say on the situation, up until earlier today.

Earlier today, Tobiwan posted a letter to his Twitter
account, which he has now changed the name on to “Inactive”, revealing that he
would be leaving the entire esports scene and focusing on his family and moving
forward with his life. This comes just a few short days after another extremely
well-known esports personality, Paul ‘Redeye’ Chaloner, announced that he too
would no longer be involved with the esports scene.

In his letter, Tobi states that he took some time to reflect
on what had occurred, trying his best to ignore the greater public scrutiny and
focus on the issue at hand. He goes on to say that he is “not guilty of any
criminal offense”, which shows that he is now denying any and all allegations
made against him. The letter also gives an apology for that that have been
offended by him and a thank you to all those that helped him on his 17-year journey
in esports.

Tobi closes the letter with his name and the words, “Never again in the history of DOTA”, an ode to his famous line from all the way back in 2012 at the Vengeance Cup or DreamHack Winter 2012.
