Pokémon Go players will vote for June and July’s Community Day Pokémon

From May 24 until May 25, Pokémon Go players will be able to vote for the next two Community Day Pokémon. Weedle, Squirtle, Gastly, and Sandshrew will be the options in a Twitter poll. The winner will be the focus of the June Community Day and the runner-up will be the focus of the July Community Day.

If they win, Squirtle will learn Aura Sphere when evolved into a Blastoise, Weedle will learn Drill Run when evolved into a Beedrill, Sandshrew will learn Shadow Claw when evolved into Sandslash, and Gastly will learn Shadow Punch when evolved into a Gengar. While these moves may seem lackluster, they’re all pretty good for the PvP game mode.

It should be pointed out that Squirtle, Sandshrew, and Gastly all already have Shiny forms in Pokémon Go. Weedle, however, does not, and this Community Day would be its Shiny debut.

Regardless of which Pokémon wins, it’s very likely that at least June’s Community Day will still follow the same guidelines as Abra’s Community Day to be playable completely from home.

Pokémon Go Plus

The Pokémon Go Plus is a small Bluetooth device that lets you enjoy Pokémon Go while you’re on the move and not looking at your smartphone. The device notifies you about events in the game, such as the appearance of a Pokémon nearby using an LED and vibration.
