If you’re playing Bravely Default 2, you’ve likely already encountered one of the Wiki-Wiki enemies — shiny green bird-like enemies who have a tendency to flee before you can actually defeat them. You have probably also noticed that your attacks don’t do much damage to these strange little guys.
Defeating Wiki-Wikis is very worth your while as you’ll be rewarded with an abundance of experience and job points, so you should always aim to defeat one when you come across it. Here’s everything you need to know about these guys and how best to defeat them.
What are Wiki-Wikis?
Weak to: Daggers, Staves, and Earth-based attacks.
Wiki-Wikis are special enemies that you will never see in the overworld. Instead, they will randomly accompany other groups of enemies. Though they have very little HP, their Auto-Guard ability means that you won’t be able to deal a lot of damage, and they also have super high evasion. They are rarer than other enemies but give a very high amount of experience and job points on defeat.
How to Defeat a Wiki-Wiki
Whatever your plan was for the battle ahead, forget it when there’s a Wiki-Wiki present. These things are quick to flee, so you’ll want to try and take it out in one round of hits before it can get its own action in (which will likely be to run away). Use Bravely on all your characters to maximize the damage dealt, especially as your hits won’t always land and won’t hit hard.
Special Attacks are great, as they never miss, but unless you have one ready this won’t be any good for you. Heroics and Magic spells are your next best bet. Spam your highest-damage dealing attacks on all characters and max them all out on BP to get as many hits in as possible. Prioritize spell-casting as spells never miss.
Another option is to increase your accuracy using things like the Bard job’s buff skills, which will improve the chance of actually hitting the bird, but ultimately you could waste your time with buffs and allow the Wiki-Wiki to getaway. It’s better to solely focus on damage, and having a spell-caster in your party should make this a sure thing.
