Call of Duty: Warzone has just had a patch, and if you’re a dedicated Warzone player you will want to know exactly what they’ve changed in case you need to change up your loadouts before dropping back into the battle royale. This time there has been several small adjustments, but nothing too major. Having said that, if you’ve been running with a DMR in your loadout, you might want to think again and swap it for a different weapon.
Raven Software announced their full patch notes in a Twitlonger post, and you’ll be able to find the complete patch notes down at the bottom of the page, after we’ve broken down what are the biggest and most notable changes made to the game in their January 13 patch. Just read below for everything you need to know about this minor, but incredibly important, game changer.
The Infinite Stim Bug Is Gone!
This has to be the main reason for pushing this patch out. The infinite stim bug, which we detailed here, has been removed, and probably for the best. This bug gave players the opportunity to heal infinitely, even while crawling around unseen in the ring. This had the potential to massively ruin the game, so it’s a relief that it has been changed. Though it doesn’t seem like Raven Software can alter the “bot lobbies” exploit that we have detailed here.
DMR 14, Type 63, Burst Pistol Nerfed
The DMR 14 has been a good go-to weapon for many players for a long time, but after a small string of nerfs in this patch players might want to think about swapping it for another weapon in their loadouts. Both the DMR 14 and the Type 63 have had their bullet penetration reduced – they used to penetrate like a sniper rifle, and now they penetrate like an assault rifle, meaning less damage when going through walls.
In addition to that, recoil has been increased and damage decreased for the DMR 14 – a sorry state of affairs for DMR 14 fans. Type 63 also has had its damage reduced at range, and the Burst Pistol has had max damage reduced too.
