Fortnite Doomsday event time is fast approaching, with the chapter 2 season 2 end of season live event almost upon us. Anticipation is high for the Fortnite Doomsday event as Epic Games haven’t held an end of season live event since last October’s The End showstopper. And given the calibre of that Fortnite live event, and recent ones such as the Travis Concert concert, Battle Royale fans could be in for a real treat today.
The Fortnite Doomsday event has a start time of 2pm EST on Monday June 15, and for fans in the UK that’s 7pm BST.
For those in other time zones that’s 11am pacific time, 6pm GMT and 8pm CEST.
Epic Games has advised that Fortnite fans will need to head in-game 30 minutes before the event starts as “space is limited”.
In a tweet the official Fortnite Twitter posted: “The Storm rages on. Will Midas’ Machine break the Storm?

- Fortnite Device event start time, launch date, leaks, server warnings
“The Device is set to be activated on June 15 at 2PM ET. Space is limited! Show up 30 minutes early to help secure your spot and be there live.”
The Fortnite Doomsday event, which is also known as The Device event, is expected to see Midas set off the Doomsday Device at The Agency HQ.
It is expected that this will lead to a cataclysmic event that will cause the Fortnite map to be flooded.
If that is the case it’s unclear whether Fortnite servers will go down in the aftermath of the Doomsday event to prepare for any major map changes.
This happened with the last Fortnite end of the season event when servers went down for a considerable amount of time after The End event came to its dramatic close.
Leaks have already indicated that the main feature of Fortnite season 3 could be a new, flooded map.
The PlayStation Store, on the day that Fortnite season 3 was originally meant to start before the first in a series of delays, showed a new icon for Fortnite.
And this image showed the Battle Bus flying above a sea of water with only a deserted island seen in the distance.
Today’s Fortnite Doomsday event is kicking of ahead of the start of Fortnite season 3 chapter 2 which is set to start on Wednesday June 17.
If, for whatever reason, you’re not able to log into Fortnite when the Doomsday event kicks off then there should be plenty of streamers broadcasting it.
