Hades Has Now Sold Over 1 Million Copies

Hades, the latest roguelike from Supergiant Games, has now surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide, having amassed over 300,000 new sales from the last four days alone.

The news comes from the official Supergiant Games Twitter account, which recently published a sales update following the launch of Hades 1.0 last Thursday. After spending the guts of two years in Early Access on PC, Hades had already shipped approximately 700,000 units, but that number has skyrocketed to over 1 million copies in the interim between its full launch and now.

You can check out the tweet for yourself below.

As you can see, the announcement thanks Early Access players who stuck with the game throughout its development and offered feedback in order to help improve it prior to the release of Hades 1.0.

For those unacquainted with Supergiant Games, it is the studio behind indie darlings such as Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. Hades is its latest effort, and has been widely lauded as its magnum opus over the last week, during which near unanimously positive reviews have been published by the vast majority of major games outlets.

If you’re interested in trying out Hades 1.0 for yourself, it’s playable on PC, which was the origin for its stint in Early Access. However, as announced during the surprise launch of the full game last week, Hades is now available from the Nintendo Switch eShop, too. It costs $19.99 — however, people who have already played on PC will have to wait a while before being able to transfer their save data to Switch.
