The rumoured Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster has officially been revealed and will feature new additions, including cross-play.
Rumours of a Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster first popped up in June and, today, EA has officially confirmed its existence with an announcement trailer.
The remaster will come with all of the original game’s DLC and new content in the form of additional challenges, car colours, and achievements.
The most exciting detail is that it will feature cross-play as well, meaning all players can compete against each other regardless of platform.
The remaster will be out on 6 November for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and a week later, on 13 November, for Nintendo Switch. The game will be 60fps on all formats except Switch.
‘Ten years ago, Criterion Games released their critically acclaimed franchise debut Need for Speed Hot Pursuit,’ reads the video description.
‘It introduced NFS and racing fans to the winding, open roads of Seacrest County, Criterion’s renowned feel for breakneck speed and gameplay, and the innovative Autolog system, empowering true social competition between friends.
‘Unleash a savage sense of speed both as an outlaw and a cop in this timeless racing experience updated for today’s platforms. With cross-platform multiplayer and Autolog, enhanced visuals, all main DLC delivered at launch, and much more, this is the ultimate version of Criterion Games’ critically acclaimed Need for Speed debut.’
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will release on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will release on November 13 for Nintendo Switch.
