Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can take advantage of a new perk that is sure to make anime fans happy. Until October 24, Game Pass Ultimate members can claim a free 60-day trial of Funimation Premium Plus. The highest monthly tier for Funimation, Premium Plus features ad-free streaming, offline viewing, and the ability to watch on five devices at once.
This offer can be redeemed on Xbox One or via the Xbox app. The only downside here is that it’s only available for new Funimation subscribers.
Funimation Premium Plus normally costs $8 per month. As one of the major anime streaming services out there, Funimation has an extensive library, including exclusive rights to dubbed Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z episodes. Funimation is known for its dubbed anime, so if you prefer English audio, it’s arguably your best bet–though it also has a good selection of Japanese audio anime. We featured Funimation in our roundup of the best anime streaming services, and it also earned a spot on our best overall streaming services list.
The free trial of Funimation is just one of several great perks that Game Pass Ultimate members receive with their subscription. Last month, Microsoft added its cloud streaming service to Game Pass Ultimate, and EA Play (formerly known as EA Access) will join the subscription when the Xbox Series X and Series S launch on November 10.
Game Pass Ultimate costs $15 per month, but new subscribers can get their first month for $1.
