The PS Plus October 2020 free PS4 games are about to be revealed by Sony.
The next batch of PlayStation Plus free games will be revealed on September 30 at 4.30pm BST UK time.
The PlayStation 4 games will be available on the morning of October 6, so just under a week later.
If you haven’t already, you can download Street Fighter 5 and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds until the new games are released.
There’s a good chance the PlayStation Plus free games will leak ahead of time, so stay tuned to Express Online for all of the updates.
Without any leaks to go by, fans are having fun predicting the PlayStation Plus line-up for the month of October.
Sony traditionally includes at least one horror game for PS Plus in October, such as The Last of Us Remastered in 2019, Friday the 13th in 2018, and Amnesia Collection in 2017.
With this in mind, there’s a good chance PS Plus subscribers will be treated to something like Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 or Little Nightmares.
The Order 1886 could finally make an appearance, or perhaps Dark Souls Remastered in time for Demon’s Souls on PS5.
GET A 12-MONTH PS PLUS SUBSCRIPTION FOR £39.85 AT SHOPTO
With Microsoft recently purchasing Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Studios, it’s unlikely we’ll get The Evil Within 2, Doom or Prey – unless the deal was signed before the Microsoft takeover.
My personal pick is for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and The Escapists: Walking Dead, although maybe that’s just wishful thinking!
If you don’t currently subscribe to PS Plus but are thinking of joining, then you might want to take advantage of this excellent deal.
ShopTo is currently selling a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership for just £39.85. That’s a saving of 20%.
As a digital membership, the PS Plus subscription will be delivered immediately, which means you can use it to nab the September and October free PS4 games.
As a reminder, the September 2020 free PS4 games include Street Fighter 5 and PUBG.
“Experience the intensity of head-to-head battle with Street Fighter V!” reads the official SFV description.
“Choose from 16 iconic characters, each with their own personal story and unique training challenges, then battle against friends online or offline with a robust variety of match options.
“Earn Fight Money in Ranked Matches, play for fun in Casual Matches or invite friends into a Battle Lounge and see who comes out on top! PlayStation 4 and PC players can also play against each other thanks to cross-play compatibility!
“This version of Street Fighter V displays the ‘Champion Edition’ title screen and includes Arcade Mode, Team Battle Mode and the online-enabled Extra Battle Mode, where you can earn rewards, XP and Fight Money! Fight Money can be used to purchase additional characters, stages and more!”
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, meanwhile, helped popularise the battle royale genre, where 100 players compete to be the last person standing.
“Land, loot and outwit your opponents to become the last player left standing in a thrilling game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.”
