It’s going to be a big week for PS5 customers, as multiple stock drops take place in the UK.
The PlayStation 5 is currently back in stock at Smyths, both in store and online. While the website is unlikely to to have stock for long, it’s worth contacting your local store to see if they have any consoles available.
In addition to Smyths, GAME is also expected to restock the PS5 at some point this week.
According to the ever-reliable PS5 UK Stock account, GAME is likely to restock the PlayStation 5 on either August 18 or August 19.
“GAME have just pushed back the delivery dates of #PS5 stock to 27 August. Originally the 20th, we expected the drop to go live today,” reads a recent tweet.
“We now look to 18-19th for these to go on sale.”
GAME usually drops stock between 9-11am BST, so get the refresh button ready for the imminent stock drop.
Needless to say, Express Online will keep this article updated with all the latest developments.
Finally, a word of warning for Currys PC World customers. If you received a VIP email to purchase a console, today is the final day to redeem the code in store.
If you have a code, then the first step is to locate your nearest store, which you’ll need to visit in person no later than August 17.
When you arrive in store, show staff your code and select a bundle to purchase. After paying for your PS5 bundle, staff will let you know when the console will be delivered.
Then it’s just a matter of showing up and collecting your brand new PlayStation 5 console when you get the call.
If you want to get your own PS5 VIP Pass directly from the retailer, then you’ll need to visit the Currys website and sign up for a chance to buy a PS5 in the future.

While sign-ups are currently closed, there’s a chance they’ll re-open in the future, so keep an eye on the PS5 hub at Currys.
It’s also worth contacting local stores for potential restocks or cancelled orders.
Outside of Currys, it’s a good idea to bookmark some of the more popular stock checker accounts for even more alerts and information.
This includes Digital Foundry Deals, Stock Informer, PS5 UK Stock – Instant Updates, PS5 UK Stock and Express Gaming – the latter of which will have live updates throughout the week.
Some of the accounts mentioned above have Discord groups for PS5 customers, while some have live streams and alerts on sites like YouTube.
