With Final Fantasy VII Remake to release next month, Square Enix has been running a lot of promotional events in order to engage with the fans and get them hyped up for the game. As part of the event, the company has recently revealed more details about some of the dynamic themes that players can get for themselves either for free, or for pre-ordering the game.
As one most likely knows by now, there is a demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake available for download. Aside from offering a small taste of what is to come once the game releases, the demo also allows players to download a free dynamic theme for their PS4 consoles. Although the dynamic theme isn’t available right now, anyone who downloads the demo by May 11 will be eligible for the theme once it comes out on April 10.
Another dynamic theme that players can technically download for free involves the city of Midgar with a shot of Cloud looking at the Mako Reactor (just like in the iconic cover art image). In order to download the theme, a user needs to be a subscriber of the PS+ service. According to Square Enix, the theme isn’t available at the moment but will be available to PS+ users “soon.”
Finally, the third theme that players can get for themselves focuses on Sephiroth. In order to get that particular theme, a player needs to pre-order Final Fantasy VII Remake via Amazon if they live in the US, or at “various retailers” if they live in Europe.
One interesting thing to note is that the official Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account states how fans should “Stay tuned for a closer look at some other #FF7R themes in the future.” Based on the phrasing of the tweet, one can expect even more themes/ dynamic themes to be released along with Final Fantasy VII Remake. Although not too much information has been shared, once can assume that the future themes will focus on some of the other characters in the game.
The first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake will come out exclusively for the PS4 on April 10, 2020.
