One of the latest glitches discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone gifts players infinite ammo should they have the akimbo perk enabled.
Infinity Ward will have had to consider a lot of things when piecing together Warzone. Since it’s a CoD title, the game needed to be detailed and difficult enough to not anger hardcore fans of the franchise. However, since its a battle royale game, it also needs to be easy to jump right into and pick up since its free and a lot of new players will be giving it a whirl.
The developers have achieved that balance for the most part. There are plenty of details brought over from mainline CoD games. Details that don’t need to be fully understood to enjoy the game, but can be should a player choose to make use of them. The perk system, for instance. New players will pick up how it works as they go along, while seasoned players can wade right in from the off.
Seasoned or not, one perk players might bypass is the akimbo perk. It allows players to wield two smaller weapons at the same time, one in each hand. However, players are unable to aim while doing this, hence the perk being passed over a lot of the time. A glitch discovered with the perk might have more people selecting it going forward, though.
The glitch was discovered by Acez Gaming on YouTube and allows for infinite ammo when the akimbo perk is enabled. As demonstrated in the video above, the player empties the clip in their left-hand weapon and then replaces it with the gun on the floor. When the guns are switched back again, the previously empty pistol has reloaded yet the bullet count remains full.
There are a lot of obvious caveats with this particular glitch, having to use the akimbo perk being one of them. Players will also need to make sure there’s a spare weapon nearby so they can quickly make the switch, not something many will think to do when in the heat of battle. There’s also a chance Infinity Ward has patched this glitch by the time you read this.
