Xbox Games with Gold June 2020 update as Microsoft reveal surprise game bonus

The latest free games are now available to download on Xbox One via its monthly Games with Gold update.

These include Coffee Talk on Xbox One and Sine Mora for Xbox 360, which is playable via backwards compatibility.

This is on top of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, which will be available to download until the end of the month.

The only downside is Destroy All Humans has now been removed and can no longer be downloaded for free.

Descriptions of both new games can be found below, and they’re not the only free bonuses available:

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse

Embark on an exciting adventure with your favourite hair-whipping, belly-dancing genie. After losing her magic abilities, Shantae must team up with her nefarious nemesis, Risky Boots, in order to save Sequin Land. Slay monsters, battle epic bosses, and obtain new weapons in a quest to remove an evil curse from the land and gain back her magical powers in the process!

Coffee Talk

Lend an ear to your customers as you serve up hot drinks behind a bar. As a barista owner in this soothing and relaxing game, immerse yourself in the stories of the city’s fantasy inhabitants where progression is based on the variety of beverages you serve. You will easily get invested in the strong narrative of your customer’s lives while playing this timely character interaction simulator.

Sine Mora (Xbox 360)

Time is the ultimate factor. Rather than the traditional health status bar, this old school style shoot ‘em up sets itself apart by focusing on massive destruction and time manipulation. With gorgeously crafted stages and deeply challenging Story and Arcade modes, you will test your abilities in this excellent entry to the shmup genre.

On top of this new Games with Gold update, Xbox Insider members can enjoy an early demo of Grounded, Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming survival adventure game, through the Xbox Insider Program and/or through Steam Game Festival.

A message from Microsoft explains: “Those who registered to be an Xbox Insider can now check their Xbox Insider Hub to see if they have been accepted to participate in the Grounded flight on Xbox.

“Fans also have an opportunity to explore the vast, beautiful, and dangerous world of Grounded through the same single-player demo released on Xbox Insider, on Steam as part of the Steam Game Festival.

“The demo will allow players to get a look at the single-player experience of Grounded. Upon choosing their character, players will be thrust right into the heart of the backyard at sunrise, and will quickly discover that life is different when you’re only one centimetre tall.

“Over the course of one in-game day, this experience will allow players to craft tools and weapons, build structures, and survive against the various perils of being small.

“While the demo itself is timed, players will be able to explore the backyard and restart multiple times during the course of the six days it will be available.

“Grounded will enter Xbox Game Preview with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Steam Early Access on July 28, 2020. In the meantime, be sure to add Grounded to your Steam wishlist, and stay tuned to Xbox Wire for the latest on Grounded.”
