This year’s Tokyo Game Show will kick off with another Xbox Series X showcase from Microsoft, which will last nearly an hour.
While signs seem to point to the Xbox Series X releasing this November, we still don’t know the exact date or even how much it will cost.
It’s possible, however, that we may finally find out later this month at the Tokyo Game Show, of all places, which is being held online this year, for obvious reasons.
According to the official schedule, not only is Microsoft holding another one of its Xbox showcases, it’s what’s opening the event on 24 September.
The Xbox brand has always struggled in Japan, so this could be Microsoft taking steps to help improve its image in the East and encourage potential Japanese buyers.
The schedule doesn’t indicate what exactly will be shown during the showcase, but it sounds like it will be substantial, as it will run for 50 minutes, so we can probably expect some new info and not just updates of already confirmed titles.
In related news, Capcom has also confirmed that it will be at the event and, on 25 September, it will be sharing more information about Resident Evil Village.
Capcom had originally promised that new details would be revealed in August but the month came and went without any official news, something Capcom apologised for.
Whatever was meant to be shown in August sounds like it has simply been delayed and, while we don’t know what the plan was, it’s more than likely a new trailer of some kind.
The Xbox Series X is scheduled to release in November.
