After a lengthy closed beta, Riot’s popular online shooter Valorant will be widely available for the first time on June 2. However, the actual scheduled release time of the game depends on your region.
Valorant Release Time And Date
In the Americas, the game will become available at 8 AM Eastern / 5 AM Pacific on June 2. According to the tweet announcing the time, the game will be available 7 hours earlier in Europe, and 13 hours earlier in Asia.
Valorant is a 5 vs. 5 competitive shooter that bears a strong resemblance to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, albeit with the addition of character-specific powers a la Overwatch. Following the official release of the game, Riot has indicated that it will release a bundle of new content for the game, including maps, game modes, and characters. Throughout the open beta, Riot continued to fiddle with the game’s balance, with the most recent update nerfing powerful characters like Sage and Cypher and adjusting rifle accuracy to make tap-firing more effective.
Over the past week or two, Riot has issued some further announcements for the game, revealing that it will sponsor tournaments through Twitch Rivals as part of Valorant’s launch. The studio also clarified how the game’s anticheat program Vanguard will work, as well as releasing a blog post that explains how the team crafts its premium skins.
