Activision, Treyarch, and Raven Software will release the next Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, on Nov. 13. You can watch the shooter’s first trailer above, which kicks off during the Vietnam War — and comes with the requisite Creedence Clearwater Revival soundtrack — then transitions to the Reagan era, and to a little New Order.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game will feature cross-generation cross-play support.
The story of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War directly follows the events of the original Black Ops. Set in 1981, it highlights the ever-escalating conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States. At the center of it are some familiar faces: Alex Mason, the brainwashed protagonist of the first game, is joined by Frank Woods and Jason Hudson, two mainstays of the series.
