Destiny 2 Xur location and items, Aug. 28-Sept. 1

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur in Titan, standing in a small building in The Rig, taking shelter from the rain.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

Sunshot, Solar hand cannon: 29 Legendary Shards
Gwisin Vest, Hunter chest: 23 Legendary Shards
Actium War Rig, Titan chest: 23 Legendary Shards
Contraverse Hold, Warlock gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)

Sunshot

Sunshot is an exotic hand cannon that does Solar damage. Sunshot’s first exotic perk is Sunburn, which causes the weapon to fire explosive rounds and highlight enemies that take damage. Its secondary perk, Sun Blast, causes enemies killed by Sunshot to explode.

Sunshot is one of the most fun Exotics in the game. Unfortunately, hand cannons aren’t in a great spot right now. But if and when they come back, Sunshot will be a great weapon for Strike- or Public Event-focused loadouts. If you don’t have one, get yourself a Sunshot this week.

Gwisin Vest

Gwisin Vest is a new Hunter chest from the Forsaken expansion. Its main perk, Roving Assassin, refunds Super energy after getting a kill and reentering stealth. This is a powerful PvP Exotic. Pick it up if you’d rather run and slash than Shadowshot players.

The Actium War Rig

The Actium War Rig is an extremely powerful Titan chest piece. Its exotic perk, Auto-loading Link, will constantly reload your auto rifles as you fire them. If you’re a fan of auto rifles — especially ones with larger than average magazines — this is an incredible exotic. When pairing Actium War Rig with the Sweet Business exotic auto rifle, the clip will refill with 10 rounds every few seconds, allowing the minigun to truly feel unique. If you ever use auto rifles, this chest piece is an absolute must-have.

Contraverse Hold

Contraverse Hold is a new Warlock Exotic added in Forsaken. Its exotic perk, Chaotic Exchanger, gives you bonus damage resistance while charging a Void grenade. Charged grenade hits refund a random amount of grenade energy each time it deals damage. These are powerful Void Warlock gauntlets. If randomness hasn’t been kind to you, pick these up!
