Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, like other battle royale games, will operate on a seasonal system. Developer Mediatonic announced its second season — and what that means for players — during Gamescom 2020’s Opening Night Live presentation, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
As part of the new season, Mediatonic will update Fall Guys with new levels that are inspired by the medieval ages. Naturally, there are new outfits to unlock, too, all of which are related to the season 2 theme. Wizards! Knights! Dragons! It’s all there. The new season is starting in October.
Published by Devolver Digital, Fall Guys was released on Aug. 4 and is already the most downloaded game ever on PlayStation Plus. The wacky battle royale game has been a hit across platforms: It was released as part of PS Plus in August, but it has also sold 7 million copies on Steam, and regular players have been excited to see what’s next for the game. Mediatonic and Opening Night Live host Keighley began teasing season 2 ahead of the presentation, but the full announcement came during the event.
