Cyberpunk 2077 Is Hiding Easter Eggs For Radiohead And Red Hot Chili Peppers

Within a few hours of loading up Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll be able to spot a few easter eggs for both Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The nods are easy to miss – unless you’re in the odd habit of reading every tattoo you come across.

Both easter eggs are in the form of lyrics tattooed across Judy Alvarez’s arms. The easiest one to spot is for Red Hot Chili Peppers – it’s boldly printed across her right forearm. While Judy’s schlepping V around town during a main mission, the tattoo is easily visible to you in the passenger’s seat. It reads:

  • Underwater where thoughts can breathe easy.

Chili Peppers fans will quickly recognize the lyrics from Parallel Universe. And if that’s not enough, there’s also a spider web tattooed on Judy’s elbow – also referenced in the same song.

But Judy’s love for decades-old rock music doesn’t end with RHCP. If you look carefully – or have a really big TV – you can catch a glimpse of Radiohead lyrics tattooed on the front of Alvarez’s left arm. You can spot this easter egg the moment you meet Judy, while gearing up for your first braindance. The words are written underneath the massive 13 tattoo and spell out lyrics from Pyramid Song:

  • There was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt.

Music is a big part of Night City, and it’s cool to see this spilling over into the design of its characters. Even Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, is hiding musical secrets. Everyone knows Silverhand was part of Samurai – an ultra-popular rock band from Night City – but apparently it’s canon that his group played Reading in 2020. No doubt these musical easter eggs are littered throughout Cyberpunk 2077, it’s just a matter of looking close enough to find them.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC on GOG.COM, Steam and Epic, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Stadia from December 10, 2020. When you buy Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group and supports their future projects.
