The Japanese Esports Team At The Center Of The "Short Men" Controversy Just Had To Kick Another Player For Homophobia

$1.7 Million Worth Of NFTs Have Been Stolen From OpenSea Users

NFTs have been a subject of contention ever since their invention. But nobody could have imagined how much money would wind up getting thrown into this whole thing. We found out today that somebody managed to steal some $1.7 million worth of NFTs on OpenSea. “I know you’re all worried. We’re running an all hands on deck investigation,” a representative said. “As far as we can tell, this is a phishing attack. We don’t believe it’s connected to the OpenSea website. It appears 32 users thus far have signed a malicious payload from an attacker and some of their NFTs were stolen.”

Rainbow Six Siege Gets A New Map For The First Time In Three Years

Rainbow Six Siege launched way back in 2015. The game had 11 maps at the time. The developer behind the game, Ubisoft, released nine more maps in subsequent years. The last one to be added, Outback, was released in 2019. This means that players have gone a whole three years without a single new map. This will be changing when the next content update, Operation Demon Vale, goes live at some point in the next couple of months. The new map is being called Demon Vale.

Thieves Make Off With $250,000 Worth Of Pokemon Cards

Pokemon cards have been fetching top dollar these days. But for at least one small business that specializes in them, the hot market really hasn’t been a good thing. Punch Out Games in Forest Lake, Minnesota just lost $250,000 worth of Pokemon cards in a brazen robbery. "They broke through the walls, crawled through, and took all the sealed product out of there," one of the owners explained. “I just feel numb, just watching somebody come in and take everything away that you worked so hard to build up over the years,” the other owner added. "This is devastating for us, it's really going to be hard for us to weather the storm, we don't have any answers yet, we're still working on getting it sorted out."

Streamer xQc Turns Down $1.2 Million NFT Deal

The streamer xQc was recently approached by a company which deals with NFTs about an advertising proposal. The company in question wanted a custom overlay on his channel, a personal endorsement, a filmed browsing of its website, and three promotional posts on Twitter. The streamer was promised $1.2 million in return, but he turned it down. “Today, I received an insane — an absolutely insane — NFT sponsorship offer and the amounts are astronomical,” xQc said. “It was even more fun to tell them no.”
