Gaming chair company Mavix announced Thursday a partnership with Call of Duty League team OpTic Chicago.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mavix will outfit OpTic players and associated personalities with the M-series of its gaming chairs and will sponsor the organization’s weekly CDL pre-show, which is set to debut at “the start of the 2021 season.” In addition, Mavix branding will be featured at the “NRG Content Castle.” OpTic will in turn feature the Mavix brand through custom content, streams, and giveaways including the ongoing OpTic “12 Days of Christmas.”
The new partnership is an expansion of the relationship between Mavix and OpTic Chicago CEO Hector “H3cz” Rodriguez and player Seth “Scump” Abner, who have served as ambassadors since the X-Chair brand launched last month.
Last month NRG Co-Owner and Co-CEO Hector Rodriguez officially announced that he had re-purchased the OpTic name from Immortals Gaming Club and rebranded it as OpTic Chicago, taking over the CDL slot from NRG-owned team Chicago Huntsmen.
