Call of Duty: Cold War beta releases this week for those who have pre-ordered the game for PlayStation. If you have pre-ordered the game for Xbox or PC, you will still be able to play the beta in another week. For those who have ordered the game for PlayStation, here is how you can drop into Black Ops Cold War.
There are three days until the Cold War beta officially drops on October 8. Treyarch Studios have been generous enough to leak beta codes on their social media accounts. If you are unable to purchase the game, be on the lookout for these codes. They have been giving out codes for weeks now and could be giving out even more in these next few days.
Once you’ve purchased the game or obtained the beta code, you will be able to pre-load the game. The pre-load officially begins October 6 and will be available to download throughout the beta period. However, if you want to be one of the first to play, make sure you pre-load Cold War. There has yet to be an official file size for the game, but estimates say it could be upwards of 150 GB. Luckily the pre-load period allows you to delete any games necessary to download the latest Call of Duty title.
Cold War Beta start time
Black Ops Cold War beta will begin at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET on Thursday, October 8. Once you have pre-loaded your copy of Cold War you will be able to jump into the beta at 10 AM. However, you only have until October 9 to play the beta on PlayStation for Early Access. PlayStation players will also have an open access beta the next weekend from October 10 thru October 12.
Those who have Xbox and PC will have beta access starting October 15 thru 16. PlayStation users will also be able to play the Beta for the third weekend at this time. After these first three weeks, the Cold War beta will open for all platforms on October 17 thru October 19.
