Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut Rated For Nintendo Switch

One of Borderlands 3’s major updates and Director’s Cut add-on was originally planned to release on March 18, 2021. However, due to severe weather conditions in Texas, Gearbox Software tweeted on March 11, that the Director’s Cut for Borderlands 3 has been delayed until April 8, 2021… which has now passed. Speaking of this Director’s Cut, it has been rated for Nintendo Switch, scheduled to launch yesterday.

According to the PEGI official website, Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut page now shows a rating for the Nintendo Switch console as well with a release date of April 8, 2021, along with other consoles, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. At the time of writing, we haven’t seen any official news from Gearbox Software or 2K regarding this on their official social media channels.

However, 2k Games officially announced last year that Borderlands: Legendary Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 29, 2020, which is available for purchase now. So, it would make sense if the company decided to release the latest installment in the Borderlands franchise on Nintendo Switch as well. You can check it out below:

If this update on the PEGI website is intentional, it’s highly possible that we’ll hear more about this officially from Gearbox and 2K themselves.

The Director’s Cut update has gone live on all available platforms. This new update will add the support for Raid Boss: Hemovorous the Invincible. In order to take down Hemovorous, players will need to complete the main story campaign of Borderlands 3 and are required to own the Director’s Cut version of the game.

Along with that, there are Ava’s Murder Mysteries, behind the scene content featuring concept arts, and the development footage for the game. Other minor updates include Crazy Earl’s Reroll Machine, Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine, and Diamond Armory on Sanctuary III.

Furthermore, the game is available for free for Stadia Pro users starting yesterday, up until April 12, 2021.
