The long-rumoured remaster of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could actually be coming this week, or even later today.
At this point, the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster may as well be public knowledge. The thing has been rumoured and purportedly leaked for years now, with the latest leak suggesting it will release next month.
Now, the newest claim is that it will come out as early as today. This comes from Twitter user Okami13, who has reliably leaked Call Of Duty related info in the past, such as details for Call Of Duty: Warzone.
Okami wrote that they were ’99.9999%’ sure it will release today, though that obviously isn’t a guarantee.
Okami has since backpedalled, saying that there won’t be any multiplayer but that the maps from Modern Warfare 2 will instead be included in the current Modern Warfare title.
While you could write this off as just a rumour, it does somewhat correlate with new claims from VGC, which earlier reported that the Modern Warfare 2 remaster is set to release this week.
It does seem rather unlikely for the remaster to unexpectedly drop today, but the odds of it releasing sometime in April seem high, especially with Season 3 of Warzone starting next week.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
