Fortnite developer Epic Games has added the Ferrari 296 GTB to Battle Royale.
The latest high-profile partnership means that fans can drive the world famous sports car across the island.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter: “Get ready to feel the thrill of the ride Racing car Buckle up and get ready to experience Ferrari’s new 296 GTB on the Island.”
In addition to Ferrari vehicles joining Battle Royale, new cosmetics have also been added to the item shop.
“Ferrari fans can ride in style with new Item Shop offerings available starting at 10 am ET on July 22,” Epic continues. “The Ferrari Bundle includes the Modena Icon and Maranello Racer Outfits, as well as the Ferrari Turbo Back Bling.
“Defining fun to drive, get behind the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GTB in Fortnite today!”
To celebrate the addition of the Ferrari 296 GTB to Fortnite, players can complete a series of challenges utilising the new vehicle.
If you want to earn some bonus XP for the Battle Pass, you’ll need to complete Ferrari Time Trials, reach maximum speed in a Ferrari, and drive a Ferrari through the Storm.
While the vehicles are sure to be popular during the coming days, there are plenty of Ferraris dotted around the island.
As you can see from the map above, Ferraris can be found at Believer Beach, Pleasant Park, Retail Row, and Lazy Lake.
The supercars can also be found in Misty Meadows, as well as Holly Hedges.
There are a couple of Ferraris near Steamy Stacks, another between Weeping Woods and Slurpy Swamp, plus a further Ferrari between Dirty Docks and Corny Complex.
The Ferrari 296 GTB joins the game just a few days after the release of update 17.20.
The latest Fortnite update introduces a useful new preferred item slot feature.
With the new feature enabled, players can assign items to specific weapon slots.
You can assign healing items to the right slot, for example, and assault rifles to the left slot. This means that the aforementioned items will automatically enter that slot when you pick them up.
Elsewhere, Fortnite update 17.20 also added the gravity gun to the game files, not to mention the Bugha skin.
