How to get the stamps in Animal Crossing: New Horizons International Museum Day

The latest free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has started, with International Museum Day offering unique prizes at your museum.

Nature Day and the May Day Tour is over, but there’s another limited time event in Animal Crossing at the moment, although this one is a bit less exciting than the others.

Isabelle will tell you about it as soon as you turn the game on, but all you have to do is go along to your museum and speak to Bathers, who will tell you that there are three stamp machines in the fossil, bugs, and fish galleries.

You get a card for each gallery and three spots to get stamped. And all you need to do to get a stamp is go up to one of the Stamp Spots and press the ‘A’ button.

It doesn’t seem to matter whether you’ve got all the exhibits in that particular area, but if it doesn’t work you may need to visit a friend’s museum who has more.

We certainly don’t have all the bugs and fish though, even the ones that have been available, and we got the stamps straight away, so you shouldn’t have any trouble either.

Where are the Stamp Spots in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

The Stamp Spots aren’t exactly hidden: there’s one in each room of the fossil gallery; two in the starting area of the bug gallery and the third in the top left room past the butterfly room; and two in the starting area of the fish gallery and the final one next door and to your right.

Once you have all three stamps for a gallery all you have to do is go and see Blathers who will give you a smaller completion stamp and a free prize, which turns out to be a plaque relating to whatever gallery it is.

And… that’s it. Not the most thrilling update but at least it’s more free stuff for your house.

The International Museum Day runs from today until 31 May. The next update will be Wedding Season, which starts straight after and runs for the whole month, 1 June to 30 June.

This will cast you as a wedding planner for Reese and Cyrus from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, although exactly what that will involve is not clear yet.

It’s also not known what other updates there’ll be after that, despite rumours of the return of Brewster and his café and datamined hints about swimming and new vegetables.
