Tweeter @IdleSloth1984 has claimed Resident Evil 8, the new Batman game and Anthem Redux are all rumoured to feature in Xbox 20/20.

However, reliable insider and Wushu Studios staffer Shinobi602 has said on ResetEra said Xbox fans need to “keep expectations tempered”.

While Aaron Greenberg, who deals with Xbox Games marketing at Microsoft, also posted on Twitter about what fans can expect from this week’s stream.

In a series of tweets Greenberg posted: “We have too much to show/reveal this year, it cannot fit into one show. So get ready for new stuff from us every month leading up to holiday. Starts with #InsideXbox on Thursday at 8am PT.

“If helpful the Thursday IX will have Xbox Series X gameplay from some of our partners. Note many of our biggest partners are working on summer timelines, so this is the start of these monthly reveals. Expect a variety of unique games with some new 3rd party IP as well this month.

“Common Qs: Thursday show will be under an hour. June news will be done differently than Inside Xbox show. July is the big Xbox Games Studios show, we will go around the world to see first looks & even new game announcements from those creative teams. Will answer more in replies.”

As Greenberg mentioned, the stream taking place in July will be the “big Xbox Games Studios show” – which was revealed in a blog post previously.

The post said: “In July, we will dedicate time to focus on the incredible games coming from Xbox Game Studios. A number of our studio teams are looking forward to sharing first looks at new gameplay, insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X, and brand-new game announcements. We cannot wait to share this initial look at what some of those teams are working on.”

So, it looks like first-party games such as Halo Infinite, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and rumoured games like new Perfect Dark and Fable titles will appear in July.

However, we could find out more about one of the biggest games of the year – Cyberpunk 2077 – in today’s instalment of Inside Xbox.

The highly anticipated title from CD Projekt RED is one of the first games confirmed to support the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery system.

This provides next-gen updates to games bought for the Xbox One, so you don’t need to purchase a game twice to experience the beefier Series X edition.

And Microsoft has confirmed that this feature is set to be detailed in today’s episode of Inside Xbox.
