Represent Solidarity With A Free Black Lives Matter PS4 Theme

PlayStation has released a brand-new PlayStation 4 theme that’s styled in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The theme is black-and-gold, with “Black Lives Matter” written in black inside gold lines and a raised Black fist sitting to the right of the text. The icons take on a gold coloring, while the rest of the theme is a stark black. The black-and-gold colorway is what the movement defaults to.

You can download the Black Lives Matter Theme from the PlayStation Store for free. For the uninitiated, PlayStation 4 themes can be changed from the system’s Settings menu. Once there, scroll down to and select Themes. Any theme you have collected from either buying or downloading will be stored here, and they can be changed whenever you want.

Imagery used by the Black Lives Matter movement was recently co-opted by Ubisoft’s tactical mobile game Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad. The company apologized for the image, which looked strikingly similar to Black Lives Matter’s, and removed it from the game.

In other PlayStation-related news, the company finally revealed what the PlayStation 5 user interface looks like–and it seems much snappier than the PlayStation 4’s. It even includes a brand-new, subscription-only feature called Game Help that offers in-game hints to players.

The PlayStation 5 drops on November 12 for $400 for the Digital Edition and $500 for the standard edition. Check out our PlayStation 5 preorder guide to find out when it will be restocked.
