Gameloft is a French publisher, founded in Paris by Michel Guillemot. It came to life in 2000 and is now celebrating 20 years of publishing all your favorite games. Despite Gameloft Classics being restricted to Android devices, Gameloft is a multiplatform publisher, with games on PC, mobile and consoles carrying the Gameloft name.
The publisher states that the app’s release is a way of thanking their players. Many Gameloft fans are requesting that Gameloft Classics come to iOS too.
With the world still in varying degrees of lockdown, and people stuck indoors on quarantine, Gameloft Classics seems like the perfect gift to the mobile gaming community. Many of the games included have not been playable on mobile before, despite the publisher referring to the selection as “30 of our most iconic mobile games,” on Twitter.
Gameloft is keen to gift this selection to fans, as there is currently no monetization in-game. It is even described as a “gift for players” on its installation page on Google Play.
Gameloft Classics can be installed for free via Google Play.
