This Week In Read Dead Online (April Week 4)

Rockstar Games continues to make Red Dead Online exciting with regular events and updates, this time providing XP boosts to Collectors and Bounty Hunters.

To any Red Dead player, it’s been evident that the open world developer focuses more on Red Dead’s online mode than the singleplayer campaign. Though it looks like we won’t be getting any story DLCs anytime soon, Rockstar games has been providing the online mode with some sweet content, along with some regular XP boosts to encourage players to participate in the game more. Rockstar Games also announced that 5% of all its revenue from GTA Online and Read Dead Online from April to May will go to COVID-19 relief efforts.

While XP-earn rates go up, prices go down as Rockstar has also provided some details on what items are getting discounts:

  • 40% off all Role Weapon Variants
  • 40% off the Bounty and Hunting Wagon
  • 30% off all Revolvers
  • 40% off all Role Camp Themes
  • 70% off all Skirts
  • 70% off all Boots
  • 80% off all Accessories (Gloves, Neckwear, Spurs, Half Chaps, Suspenders, Masks, and Chaps)
  • 80% off all Collector Maps

Looking at these discounts, it seems that Rockstar games has favored the roles of Bounty Hunter and Collector this week. The following limited edition clothing items are also back:

  • Fanned Stovepipe Hat
  • Owanjila Hat
  • Benbow Jacket
  • Eberhart Coat
  • Concho Pants
  • Darned Stockings
  • Bowyer Boots
  • Salter Shoes

This update was announced on Rockstar’s Instagram and Twitter pages. Both posts have received numerous requests for another major update to the online mode like Moonshiners Update back in December 2019.

It is unclear when we’ll be getting another major update. For now, until Rockstar announces some huge news on the subject, it would be nice to take this time to level up your roles in Red Dead Online while Rockstar is doling out regular XP boosts. It seems we have a lot of time to max out our role levels in anticipation for the next update, which could be more fun for high level players.

By participating in Red Dead Online, we are not only strengthening it as staple in Rockstar’s collection like GTA Online, but we are also helping Rockstar develop the game even further to make it more fun for everyone.
