We’ve reached a bit of a lull in the year in terms of Nintendo Switch releases, but while we don’t yet know what major first-party games Nintendo may have planned for this fall, there are still plenty of gems on the platform just waiting to be discovered. One such game is AI: The Somnium Files, a mystery-driven adventure game that released late last year. Normally $60, this excellent game has seen its first permanent price drop at one retailer, and it’s a big one–Best Buy just slashed the price on AI: The Somnium Files to $30.
This permanent discount matches the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the game; recently, it was $30 in an eShop sale (that has since ended). So far, Best Buy is the only retailer that’s currently offering this price, and all the digital stores (the Eshop, Steam, PSN) still have it listed at $60, so this is a fantastic deal worth taking advantage of.

$30 (was $60)
Released in September 2019, AI: The Somnium Files is discounted to $30 for Nintendo Switch at Best Buy. It’s also available on PS4 and PC for full price.
AI: The Somnium Files comes from the creators of Danganronpa and Zero Escape, and it takes those dark, puzzle-oriented themes in a new direction. The game follows detective Kaname Date, who leads a team that investigates murder cases. Date uses an artificial intelligence named Aiba that allows him to investigate crime scenes at a detailed level, including X-ray vision and zooming. Date can also enter the memories of suspects or witnesses to find more clues and additional info–but these dreamscapes collapse after six minutes, and certain interactions will cause you to lose a chunk of time, so careful calculation is needed to find the info you need.
