Tomorrow we will see the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online
tournament kick off for four of the six regions involved and while the event
may no longer be within the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, it promises some epic action
for some time to come.
With multiple Dota 2 Pro Circuit events being cancelled due
to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we expected there to be very little to keep us
occupied in the way of viewing pro teams. However, many events have popped up
that will be played online, thus eliminating a large threat of players and
personal coming into contact with one another. One such tournament is the ESL
One Los Angeles Online event which kicks off tomorrow. All six regions have
some of their biggest and best teams performing, and while Europe and CIS begin
a week later, there will still be some prime Dota 2 action from China,
Southeast Asia, South and North America to view in the coming days.
A short time ago, ESL Dota 2 announced the schedule for the
opening days, which will be jam packed. The Chinese region has the most games
played per a day, as it is the region with the most teams also competing in the
event apart from EU and CIS. As such many of the series will overlap with those
in other regions and below are the opening games for each region which will be
played tomorrow.
China
- EHOME versus Newbee
- Royal Never Give Up versus Invictus Gaming
- Vici Gaming versus PSG.LGD
Southeast Asia
- Team Adroit versus Geek Fam
South America
- beastcoast versus Thunder Predator
North America
- Evil Geniuses versus Quincy Crew
This is only a small taste of the action which we will witness in these four regions in the coming days before EU and CIS also kick off and give us an even bigger battle. ESL One LA Online promises to be a huge event which still boasts prizepools ranging from $40,000 to $200,000 for each region involved.
