The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild turns three years old today, but fans aren’t ready to stop celebrating the game quite yet. There’s a sequel on the horizon, with a short-haired Zelda and a dehydrated Ganon, but we don’t have much in the way of details quite yet. With Breath of the Wild hitting a new milestone, fans are celebrating the game through fan art and stories.

Twitter is chock full of art by talented fans who are coming together to recreate their favorite moments under the Japanese hashtag #ブレスオブザワイルド3周年 (or Breath of the Wild 3 annive). There’s everything from painted renderings of Link and Zelda, to screenshots of fans’ favorite memories, to alternate-universe interpretations of this classic Nintendo franchise.

Not every game is so lucky to stick around in the zeitgeist for so long; not even other Zelda games are guaranteed to have the same staying power. But Breath of the Wild is an exceptional title that has earned the devotion from fans, and we’ll likely see its legacy live on with more open-world games throughout the decade.
With the game turning three, there’s still plenty of time to revisit the original Hyrule before the sequel hits. For player who are looking for a fresh take, but don’t have the patience to wait for a full sequel release, Breath of the Wild is thankfully hefty enough that there’s room to innovate and try some new approaches.
